25 Random Things

1. I like zombie movies and romantic comedies.2. I am in awe of my children. They are my dreams come true. They make me believe in miracles. 3. I love my friends yet I am terrible at staying in touch. In that way I'm a loner. 4. I love Disneyland. 5. I love to drive. I love the feeling of in between places, especially on road trips. 6. I live across the street from my former high school, Nevada Union. I drove past this house 1000 times without knowing I would one day live here. 7. I laugh every day. As often as possible. I am easily amused. 8. I am married to one of my best friends in the whole world. 9. I believe in magic. 10. My favorite story is still Peter Pan. 11. Ian didn't have a name when he was born. We had a short list of boy's names but none of them felt right. Gio always liked Ian and the minute we said it, we knew. Ian is a third generation variation of John. His middle name, Pavel, is third generation of Paul on Dad's side (Juan Pablo, Giovanni Paolo) and for my brothers Paul and Devin- the Czech version has the v like Devin. 12. Anika is a third generation Marie with her middle name, coming through Margaret Anne Marie and Lenka Marie. 13. I wrote my first book when I was ten. I have finished five books since then: The Marionettes, Legends of Home, Moonwater, The Goblin Queen, and Dirt- The Lord of All Things Dark and Mysterious. 14. I wrote the first draft of my werewolf novel, Moonwater, twenty years ago, when I was sixteen. Maybe I'll write another draft this year :) 15. I would enjoy a peppermint mocha right now. 16. My favorite food is the Sunset Roll at Kaido Sushi 17. Regarding #14- What am I talking about? I'm not starting a new project. I'm not. I'm not. 18. I wish my best friends and family lived closer so we could have deep insightful talks until 2 in the morning. Yes, you. You know who you are :) 19. I am a secret mermaid. I am most happy in water. Or at the ocean. Love love love the ocean. 20. For the first time in my life, I would like a picture of the president on the wall. With me in it. Shaking his hand. 21. Baby laughter is the best music on earth. 22. Doing art with kids is awesome-fun. 23. Happiness is a sun-baked rock at the Yuba River. 24. I can never have too many cozy pajamas, yummy lotions, or sparkly things. Crystals are cool. So is glitter. 25. I am grateful.
