Anika's Ocean Skirt

We love our county fair.  A big part of the fun is entering the many contests that are displayed through the fairgrounds.  From photographs to the Ugliest Cake (more on that later), we enjoy showing off our projects with the rest of the community.  This skirt was inspired by a skirt I made for myself.  Of course Anika wanted to match her mom (love that :)).  She designed this skirt.  Very simple yet perfect.  She helped with the sewing machine, learning how to sew straight lines.  Awesome.  And she made a beautiful skirt!  It's at the fairgrounds now.  The fair starts tomorrow.  We go on Saturday.  I'll tell you what ribbon she wins.  Because she will win.  How could she not win?
