Real Life in February

Hurrah for Real Life. It may be mussed and busy and (a little) chaotic. And also wonderful and fun and home :) I am pleased to join a photography project that celebrates the lovely mess of everyday living. The photos that may not be typical framed images, yet evoke little moments that mean the world to me :). This month my niece got her twin American Girl doll. So they had to strike a pose.

One cold storm came our way. One. Which isn't good for the snowpack in northern California. But gave us a good reason to drive a few minutes up to deeper snow. Of course while my husband and I framed lovely scenes with the clouds and view, my boy threw snowballs at his sister.

We miss water oh so much. Ian realized he could 'swim' in the tub by holding his breath. He discovered that opening his eyes would freak me out. So he did that quite a few times :)

We visited the studio to shoot peg dolls for fairy crafts.

And it rained. Once.

The one rainy day inspired them to gear up for a zombie apocalypse. And fight hordes in the downpour.

My boy planned a big play-day with his very best friend. They cuddled up because it was one of the twenty-six days of sunshine (sorry, frigid states. We'll be sad when we run out of water, though). Anyway, they cuddled up and played fierce Lego Star Wars. The pink controller belongs to my girl. She nicely shared. And we let boys use any color around here :)

Thanks for good times, February!

My photographer friends and I are linking up to make a circle of inspiring everyday images. Travel around the links and you end up back here. Awesome! To see more Real Life, head on over to Mandalyn Rael Photography. Real Life inspiration :)

I will keep my storytelling posts through-out the month, then pick a few favorites at the end that may or may not have been featured for my Real Life shares. Real Life is lovely :)

Enjoy!
