Saturday at the Beach

Anika wanted to go right to the beach. Even though the sand was covered by water by the wharf and lighthouse. We drove to Natural Bridges where the rangers warned everyone away from the water.  They dug in the sand.  Ian wasn't so sure.  He kept pointing for me to wipe sand off his feet, hands, clothes.  So he sat on the towel and held his shovel at arm's length.

Anika dug for wet sand.  We had to leave for the party, which was about the only thing to pull her away from her favorite place in the world.
