Mermaid Dreaming

Anika the Mermaid | Lenkaland Photography and Anika Vodicka

Anika is a born mermaid. She first dove into the water with a mermaid tail when she was ten years old. Five years later, she hopes to upgrade her mermaid tail to a fancier, bigger tail. She has always wanted a fancy tail, but we encouraged her to wait until she wasn’t growing a few inches each summer. She has finally (probably) stopped growing. So it’s time to dream!

We are happy to see that more mermaid tails are appearing on the market in the fancy, yet not silicone, grade mermaid tails. The tails that we found have bigger fins with edges that feather. We can imagine they’ll be stunning in the water.

The plan is crowdfunding for a new mermaid tail, so we can share all the images with our community. Supporting dreams is my true north as a mom. So any help you can give her towards growing her mermaid dreams is appreciated so very much. Find her campaign, with her own words, here: https://www.gofundme.com/mermaid-upgrade. We also appreciate any sharing that you can send our way.

Summer is better with my mermaid :)

She works so hard in school, especially with Dyslexia, and summer is her time to relax and enjoy creative

We’ll both be inspired by your support!
