Valentine's Campground Decorating

We fell in love with this project decorating an Airstream at the Inn Town Campground for Valentine’s Day. A few simple ideas creates a magical outdoor spaces. Which was a bit of a surprise since decorating for Valentine’s Day wasn’t part of my family’s usual plans :). However, a few garlands and treats made a huge difference in the space.

And Valentine’s doesn’t have to be about romance. I sewed the heart garland using Forest Fairy Crafts directions. And the kids love it.

My teen asked me to make another one for her room (I need to get on that :)).

I enjoyed little touches, like the mug made by Pickle Pottery with gold hearts. And chocolates from the Nevada City Chocolate Shoppe.

Needless to say, I could see the decorating inspiration for a picnic, or backyard surprise. Or even indoors given the brittle cold lately :).

What I learned is that a little goes a long way, and the gestures that express appreciation for one another make for a wonderful celebration. Valentine’s Day invites us to pay attention to that goal. But it’s a worthy quest any time of year. How are you inspired by the people you love? Let’s celebrate each other :)

I noticed the flames catching in the depths of our celebrators beverages. Part of the photography fun is noticing how the world is full of magic.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
